WALK AND WHEEL TO SCHOOL WEEK
19 - 23 October 2020
WoW to School Week is a free, fun, week-long celebration for tamariki in the Wellington region.
As part of Kia Eke Paihikara Tātou | Greater Welly Bike Fest, Greater Wellington Regional Council is running a Walk or Wheel (WoW) to school week on 19-23 October to encourage tamariki to get active with their journeys to and from school.
Spring is a perfect time to start good habits and can also help schools reduce congestion at the gate. We provide supporting information, a small prize pack and Walk or Wheel passports for schools that register before 12 October. Schools can use the passports and prizes to reward students for their efforts during the week.
Sign up now and we'll send you what you need by 16 Oct!
School participation in WoW to School Week enhances sustainability curriculum, builds community, and highlights the benefits of active transportation - like less congestion and healthy, energised students.
