About the event
This 2 hour course is specifically for Te Whatu Ora staff and is a great way to get back into biking or to build more confidence for riding in traffic. The course will start in a traffic free area at the fleet carpark, Hutt Hospital and then move out to local roads.
Skills covered will include helmet and bike check and fit, starting and stopping safely, turning, looking all around and signalling, stopping quickly with control, where to ride on the road, passing parked vehicles, how to move through intersections, route finding, and more.
BYO bike and helmet if possible but we can provide some if needed.
